WE PROVIDE A COMPLETE INSPECTION, ASSESSMENT AND REPORT PROCESS OF YOUR SPECIFIC SITE CIRCUMSTANCES FOR LODGEMENT TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT (COUNCIL OFFICES) FOR BUILDING WORKS THAT HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED WITHOUT THE REQUIRED BUILDING APPROVAL
Over 5 years, Yarra Building Surveyors Group, have developed a specific and proven strategy to inspect, assess and certify works constructed without a building permit. It is important to note that there is no such thing as a retrospective building permit. However, a Registered Building Surveyor can provide a certification of the works to certify that the structure complies with the relevant requirements of the Building Regulations and satisfy Council’s to remove any enforcement notices issued on the property.
We work electronically and in a hard copy format allowing you to simply email your required documents after the preliminary onsite Inspection has taken place and have them returned, stamped and approved, in a format for immediate upload to your local Council for lodgement. In the Case of a Building Notice/Order, we understand that time is critical to ensure you avoid costly penalties from Council. We can be on site within hours to commence the process and work directly with Council to reassure them that the matter is being addressed which can help to ease the pressure on the property Owner.
All we need is a copy of your Building Notice or Order to commence the certification process.
For domestic buildings, our assessment must address compliance with:
- Siting
- Property
- Title restrictions (encumbrances, caveats, agreements and easements)
- Fire safety
- Structural adequacy
- Construction in areas with special requirements such as bushfire and flooding or any other relevant elements.
Yarra building surveyor group can, if requested, coordinate other building practitioners that may need to be included in the preparation of documents, including: Planning Consultants; Architectural design documentation & Engineering Reports & Certification
